These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Owners Club Events platform (“Service”).

1. Scope of the Service

Owners Club Events provides a platform for managing communities, memberships, and events.

We provide the technical platform only.

Each organizer (“Organizer”) is solely responsible for:

  • content
  • pricing
  • event execution
  • legal compliance

1A. Non-Exclusivity

Use of the Service is non-exclusive.

Organizers may use other platforms, tools, or sales channels alongside the Service.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Organizers operate events and are solely responsible for them
  • Communities or clubs may provide context for events but are not necessarily the Organizer
  • Each event has a designated Organizer, who is the contractual counterparty to Participants
  • Participants register and attend

Participants enter into a contractual relationship with the Organizer, not with Owners Club Events.

Owners Club Events is not a party to transactions between Participants and Organizers.

3. Nature of the Service

Owners Club Events is a technical platform.

We do not:

  • act as an event organizer
  • act as a payment service provider
  • act as a reseller of tickets or memberships

All such responsibilities remain with the Organizer.

4. Eligibility and Lawful Use

You must be at least 18 years old.

Use of the Service must comply with EU and Finnish law.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe via Organizer accounts.

Payments are made directly to the Organizer's Stripe account.

Owners Club Events does not act as the seller, merchant of record, or recipient of funds.

We do not store payment card data.

Organizers are responsible for:

  • taxes
  • refunds
  • legal compliance

6. Refunds

Refund policies are determined solely by the Organizer.

The Service may provide technical functionality to facilitate refunds, but does not act as a merchant, reseller, or payment intermediary.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • misuse the Service
  • violate applicable laws
  • infringe rights

We may suspend or terminate accounts if necessary.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including:

  • Stripe
  • Supabase
  • Vercel

We are not responsible for their availability or outages.

9. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

9A. Data Roles

  • Organizers act as independent data controllers for participant and membership data
  • Owners Club Events acts as a data processor when providing the Service

Owners Club Events acts as an independent controller for user accounts, platform operation, security, and legal obligations.

10. Intellectual Property

All platform rights remain with Owners Club Events Oy.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Owners Club Events is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • gross negligence
  • willful misconduct
  • mandatory legal obligations

Total liability is limited to the fees paid by the Organizer to the Service during the last three (3) months.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our control, including third-party outages.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if:

  • these Terms are violated
  • unlawful use is detected

15. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable law.

16. Modifications

We may update these Terms with notice.

17. Governing Law

Finnish law applies.

Disputes are handled in Helsinki courts.
